A very KaRen wedding!

Our little church (Habecker Mennonite) out in the country side, had the wonderful privilege of hosting a KaRen wedding! It was held during our church service on Sunday March 27th. Anita (my sister in law) used her fabulous skills to arrange the flowers! They turned out beautifully, especially since Anita only had 2 days to plan and prepare!!!! Jonathan Charles and I did the wedding photos, which I will show you in just a moment! My dad roasted a pig from our hog barn and the KaRen women (and men) prepared the goat... yes I said GOAT!!!!! They butchered the pig and goat Saturday morning... what an experience! I do have pictures but... I don't think I will share those... they might be slightly disturbing! In their home country (Burma/Thailand) it is normal so we let them do their "thing". The wedding reception was filled with laughter, food, KaRen songs and fellowship between both cultures!

Now to photos from the wonderful wedding day! Hope you enjoy!

How fortunate you are to have friends from a part of the world most of us know little about!
